After a Final War that decimated the planet, Earth’s population now exists as ‘The All.’ Individuality is irrelevant and everyone belongs to everyone else. However, a revolution is coming - not of murder and mayhem, but of capes and costumes. This is the Revolution of the Mask. Ed Quinn, EUREKA’s own Nathan Stark, and EUREKA co-creator Andrew Cosby today announce the BOOM! Studios EUREKA comic book series via a special message on YouTube:

EUREKA #1 ships December 2008 with 2 covers in a 50/50 split with a 1 in 10 variant.

The comic is written by EUREKA co-creator Andrew Cosby and Brendan Hay, who is best known for his work on THE DAILY SHOW WITH JOHN STEWART, THE SIMPSONS and FRANK TV. Interior art is by Diego Barreto with cover art by J.K. Woodward. EUREKA# 1 has a Diamond Order Code: OCT083922.

What led you to move from printing your work to starting the various serials on the web? Was it purely a matter of economics?
Economics was a large factor. The market paradigm has already shifted towards using single issues as a self-funding marketing tool towards selling a trade paperback. We are just taking this one step into the 21st Century, by serializing our books on the web rather than in periodical pamphlets. Read more…
